Ingredients
For the Baklava
- 3lb’s of Phyllo Dough
- Make sure the dough is the size of your pan (roughly ~13 x 17) (avoid ~9 x 14) *1
- 2lb’s of UNSALTED BUTTER
- Nut mix
- 2lb’s of walnuts
- 1 cup of Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons of cinnamon
Syrup
- 3 Cups of Water
- 1 1/4 Cup of Sugar
- Juice from 2 FRESH Lemons (Do not use the fake stuff) *2
- The rind of 2 entire Lemons
- Juice from 2 FRESH Oranges (Do not use the fake stuff) *3
- The rind of 2 entire Oranges
- 1 Cup of Honey (Do not use the fake stuff) *4
- 5 Cinnamon Sticks
Instructions
1. Nut Mix:
- put all of the nut mix ingredients into a food processor and process till the walnuts are roughly the size of medium grain rice make sure the sugar and cinnamon are well incorporated
